I'd go one step further, the driver should use drm_panel_bridge_add() and not create a connector itself. A bridge on the other hand is generic. Whatever timings needed are a property of the downstream end device. So you really need to use the generic compatible string here. You can add a big fat warning in this driver saying it currently only supports one panel, and even peek at the downstream panel and bail out if it's not the expected one. If other people encounter this chip, they can come in and either add their own set of init commands, or even help to generalize this driver. ICN6211 is MIPI-DSI/RGB converter bridge from chipone. It has a flexible configuration of MIPI DSI signal input and produce RGB565, RGB666, RGB888 output format. Add bridge driver for it.
